Squishy - Utah Newborn Infant Photographer

It is a really good thing that I have my own newborn or I might have just stolen this cute little thing. Little Miss A was such a little doll. She slept the majority of the time, making it so I could try some newborn poses I never got to with Nora. And when she would cry, oh that cry, so sweet and sad all at the same time.

This Mommy was someone I went to high school with. It was so nice to be able to chat with her awhile. I can't believe we're both Moms now.

Jess, she was definitely worth the wait, right? She's beautiful. All of that hair, I can't even believe it. Mmm and those lips, those squishy little lips. I just wanted to kiss them.

Thanks for spending some time with me and letting me create some memories for you. I hope you love them. And Corey, I captured this one especially for you.

There was massive amounts of sweetness going on, but there was A LOT of peeing and pooping going on too. Babies are good at that, right?

i♥faces - {hands}

I recently found the link to the iheartfaces photography blog and was instantly hooked. I love a community where we're all trying to inspire one another. And the chance to win great prizes never hurts either!

This weeks photo challenge was all about {hands}. Of course I thought of my sweet girl's hands. Is there really anything more precious or innocent than a pair of newborn hands? Yes, there is. A pair of newborn hands that also shows off her blessing dress. I love this shot of my sweet baby and her smooth baby digits!

Facebook Fan Giveaway

Is there anybody else out there that's extremely tired of winter? It hasn't even snowed very much. It's just been cold and dreary. I wish it would just snow so that everything wouldn't seem so dead. I've just been feeling blah. I need some warm sunshine in my life. I need to play in the grass with Nora and Diesel.

I need summer night walks with my husband. I need flowers and blue skies.

I need to have a giveaway. Maybe that will help me feel better. At least temporarily.

Here's what you win:

The winner of the giveaway will receive a 30 minute mini-session FREE OF CHARGE. Session includes 30 minutes at my studio or at the outdoor location of your choice (within the Salt Lake Valley), up to 4 people. (Not eligible for newborn, bridal, or wedding sessions). Session will include 10-15 edited images on a disc with copyright release. If you don't live in Utah you can either travel here, or gift the session to someone who does.

Here's how you win:

Become a facebook fan of Jessie Oberg Photography AND update your status about this giveaway WITH a link to my blog. It's as easy as that! Once I have 250 fans I will do a random drawing for the winner. Make sure you update the status because if your name is drawn and you haven't, you won't be eligible. Don't worry if you're already a facebook fan, just update your status and you'll be entered!

I'm already so excited for the winner! Just thinking about it has brought me a little bit out of my slump. Good luck everyone!

And just because I want to....here's a picture of my beautiful girl.

Floral Aisle

I saw this over at the Utah Bride Blog and just loved it! If I wasn't already married and wasn't doing a temple wedding I would have definitely done this! It's so beautiful and so different from anything I've seen. If you're getting married soon you should consider this. And then invite me to your wedding (or better yet, have me photograph it) so I can live vicariously through you.

Poser - Salt Lake City, Utah Children's Photographer

This girl was ready to go the second she walked through my door. She saw the chair she was supposed to sit in, sat down, and started posing.

She was such a little sweetie. She followed all the directions I gave her so well, and was such a good helper!

She was getting her pictures taken for her fifth birthday. Usually her parents go to Kiddie Kandids but with their recent closure I got the opportunity to take them this year. I'm definitely not complaining that they closed, that's for sure!

This girl's eyes. WOW. She's going to be a little heartbreaker.

Chris, you better keep practicing the knuckle sandwich and fruit punch, because you're going to need it for the swarms of boys you're going to have to bat off.

Thanks for spending a half hour with me. I can't wait to photograph your other sweet girl!

Miss K (Soon to be Mrs.) - Utah Bridal Photographer

I am so, SO excited to be posting these.

I took my beautiful cousin over to the International Peace Gardens in Salt Lake. Granted, it was a bit cold (ok, we were FREEZING by the end), but it was a beautiful day. The first day in awhile where I've seen blue skies.

It's so fun adding something new to my portfolio. I had so much fun taking these. A lot less work than most of the shoots I've done. I didn't have to chase any kids around. I just told my subject what to do, and they did it. A nice change of pace.

Kalina, I hope that when you look back at these pictures that you remember this time in your life.

How much you're in love with Sterling. I hope you can look at these pictures in 10, 20, 30 years and remember that.

I also hope you remember how you almost stepped in, what we believed to be, a human stool. (Sorry, I couldn't resist.)

I appreciate you letting me be a part of this time in your life. And also for helping me expand my knowledge as a photographer.

I can't believe how things clicked for me when I learned how to shoot in manual mode. It's like photography all of a sudden makes sense. I mean, obviously I always have more to learn, but I notice a difference in my photography now that I've learned this.

You're beautiful Kalina. I hope you love them!

If anybody is here looking, don't be shy. Leave a comment. I'd love to hear what you think, and I'd love knowing that when I hit "Publish Post" that it's not just floating around lost in internet space.

Contact me if you'd like to know my wedding pricing.
